We coined the most prestigious jurists both in the field of practice and in the teaching of law “. Portugal Phone Number List Research by the International University of La Rioja (UNIR) points out that women and children are more vulnerable to suffering from nomophobia or irrational fear of staying disconnected from the mobile phone , after analyzing the scientific studies published on this issue from 2010 to 2019 . It is the first study to analyze all the empirical and prevalence studies published in English and Spanish on nomophobia. It has been published by the magazine Plos One , indexed in JCR (Q2).
UNIR carries out the first research that analyzes nomophobia in the world scientific literature.
“Nomophobia (NoMobilePhobia) is the fear of separating from the mobile phone and losing the connection with the Internet and everything that this enables: access to our personal contacts, to work, to the present time, to social networks, etc. Since this social phobia was coined in 2008, an enormous amount of research has been done on its prevalence. However, contradictory results have also been generated on how to evaluate, measure and conclude which groups have a greater propensity to suffer from this problem . This work of systematic review constitutes an effort to see the big picture ”, affirm the professors of UNIR Ana León Mejía and Mónica Gutiérrez Ortega , authors of the study.

This work provides scholars of this problem with a series of common guidelines and guidelines to systematize and orient future research, thus avoiding data heterogeneity, which is exceptionally high. Also participating in the research are Joaquín González Cabrera , professor at UNIR, and Isabel Serrano Pintado , from the University of Salamanca. It is a systematic review of 108 articles published in international scientific databases, which address nomophobia from a psychological perspective and offer quantitative data on prevalence.
